Mara House

 

Mara House is an 8 bed, family oriented residential treatment centre for children 6 to 16 who are identified as being high needs/at risk. Mara House is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Mara House is operated in accordance with the Interior Health Community Care Facility Act.

 

Access to the Mara House Program is obtained through the Resource Team at the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The screening team evaluates for appropriateness of fit to best meet needs of identified children.

 

Parents/caregivers and children are provided with a muli-disciplinary service team that includes: Clinical Family Specialist/Residential Clinical Consultant, and community specialists as required.
