Donations of the following items are always appreciated:
-shampoo/conditioner
-socks
-toothbrushes
-toothpaste
-soap
-bottled water
Do a change in services, we can no longer accept clothing donations. Clothing donations are accepted and appreciated at The Arbour and The Upper Room Mission.
NOYFSS is pleased to be the receiving charity for Mr. Tri's Kids of Steel and Sport Triathlon on June 21, 2009. This event will give local children the opportunity to take part in a mini-triathlon, complete with swimming, biking and running. Adults can take part as well with their own adult triathlon. The Adopt-A-Family program has become a signature event for the staff at NOYFSS. With donations from community members and local businesses, NOYFSS is able to provide struggling families with support during the holidays. Adopting Sponsors, such as local families, office teams and businesses, gather donations of food and gift items. NOYFSS acts as a go-between for the Adopting Sponsors and the Adopted families, delivering the packages during the holiday season.
This program helps families who otherwise would not have the means to give their children Christmas presents or prepare a meal for their families. It is a rewarding experience for the Adopting Sponsor and the NOYFSS Christmas Elves and most of our Adopting Sponsors come back year after year to help out.
