Family Based Treatment Program

 

This program is a voluntary service for families of children or youth aged 7 -17 who have  a diagnosed mental health disorder.  Referrals come through Child and Youth Mental Health.  The worker is in the home 2-3 times per week up to 2 hours per session for approximately 6 months. 

  

The focus of this program is a family driven plan to increase family coping strategies, interpersonal and life skills, parenting capacity, emotional stability, natural and community resources.    Goals are based on the family's identified strengths, challenges and needs.
